Nach einem Wintertag gibt’s kaum etwas Besseres als Wärme. Deshalb heizen wir unsere Sauna für euch ein. Klein, gemütlich und genau richtig, um müde Beine wieder auf Temperatur zu bringen.
Winter in Schenna?
We’re getting pretty good at it.
Outside: crisp winter air and snow-covered mountain peaks. Inside: sauna, good food and maybe a Glüh-Spritz at the bar.
And yes – Höfler Fernblick will be open again in winter 2026/27.
Winter days, just the way we like them.
Sleep in, enjoy a proper breakfast and then head outside. Off to the Christmas market in Merano, a winter walk through the snow-covered mountains or simply doing absolutely nothing for a few hours.
In the evening, it’s back to the warm: sauna, good food, a glass of wine at the bar and then off to a cosy room.
No big winter programme. No pressure. Just a few really good days in Schenna.
Gut essen. Gut trinken.
Morgens startet ihr mit unserem Frühstück in den Tag. Von Montag bis Freitag kocht Rita am Abend für euch – und wer danach noch nicht ins Bett möchte, bleibt einfach auf einen Drink an der Bar sitzen.
Raus in den Winter.
Weihnachtsmärkte in Schenna, Meran und Bozen, Winterwandern in der Sonne, Skifahren und Rodeln auf Meran 2000 oder eine Runde auf dem Eis. Und wenn’s dunkel wird, lohnt sich ein Ausflug zu LUMAGICA in den Gärten von Schloss Trauttmansdorff. Im Winter gibt’s bei uns also einiges zu tun – nur alles ein bisschen gemütlicher.

Open from 26 November to 8 December 2026 and from 26 December 2026 to 6 January 2027.
What can you do in Schenna in winter?
Winter hiking, Christmas markets, skiing and tobogganing at Merano 2000, ice skating or a day trip to Merano or Bolzano – there’s plenty to do in and around Schenna in winter too. LUMAGICA, the magical light park in the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle, is a real highlight.
How far is Merano 2000 ski area from Schenna?
The Merano 2000 ski and hiking area is just 3.5 km away and can be reached by public transport in around 10 minutes.
Can you have dinner at Höfler Fernblick?
Yes. Rita cooks dinner for our house guests from Monday to Friday. And afterwards, the evening can happily continue with a drink at the bar.
Is the sauna open in winter?
Yes. We heat up our sauna for you in the afternoon and evening – perfect after a cold winter day outside.
Is the outdoor pool open in winter?
No, our outdoor pool takes a break in winter. But our outdoor whirlpool is waiting for you at a cosy 38°C – and if it happens to snow, things get pretty romantic.
